90 notes &

Don’t mind me, I’m just about to she-hulk right out of these pants. I would’ve just worn my trusty shorts, but I didn’t want to offend the masses during toes to bar.
Surely I’m not the only one who does this, but I base my workouts meticulously around my eating schedule — for the benefit of getting the most out of nutrient timing, and ALSO so I don’t paint the gym walls with my lunch mid-metcon because I didn’t give it enough time to digest. So today I went to an earlier class because of that reason and I despite it being a tiny class, I liked it. Me and 6 dudes, what’s to hate?
Today’s deceiving devil trickery:
AMRAP in 4 min each of:

15 Kettlebell swings #35
15 Hand release push-ups
2 min rest
12 Front rack lunges #65
12 Kettlebell snatches #26
2 min rest
9 Toes to bar
9 Goblet squats #35
= 101, 91, and 73 reps, respectively

The only thing keeping me from RX was the kettlebell snatches - RX weight is #35, but I can’t seem to get back #26. Everything else felt really good. Gasser!
In two weeks, I’ve changed my way of thinking and managed to not allow myself to be consumed with disordered thinking. I went back to basics. And I feel incredible, strong, confident, and normal.
Methinks we’ll be sticking with this for a while.
In addition to daily WODs, I’m starting the Hatch squat and press programs. My coaches are helping me work to really reach my potential and I’m stupid excited to see where this gets me after a cycle.
Happy almost Friday!
